Priestly Discernment
in St. Peter Diocese

On Sunday, November 25, 2007 at both Sunday Masses at St. Peter Chaldean Cathedral in California, Mar Sarhad Yawsip Jammo presented to the faithful five young Chaldean men who have applied for priestly discernment for the Diocese of St. Peter. "Though it is the beginning," said Mar Sarhad, "and it is God's grace that will decide the conclusion, we will pray for them all to do God's will." The names of the five men are: Ricky Kassab, John Bachoua, Andrew Hermiz, Clint Gorou and Devon Jina.

The Bishop announced his plans to open a Diocesan Seminary/House of Priestly Formation in San Diego in the coming months in order to begin the formation of these young men for the priesthood.
