Sacred Heart Women’s Group
at St. Paul Church

Los Angels, California

On March 3, 2007, the Sacred Heart Women’s Group again reelected Azhar Nissan for another term as head of the Sacred Heart Sodality, and with Helen Petrosspour, Bretil Khosrowabadi, and Georjet Bet- Eivaz, the Group gets together once a month every first Saturday of the month for prayer, Bible study, and their business meeting.

The main purpose of this group is to strengthen their commitment and dedication to spread the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus within our community and to live according to the words of the Gospel that say, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28 -30).

It is also well known among all of us the hard work of the members of this group throughout the 20 years of St. Paul’s Church history. It is also worth mentioning here the hard work and dedication of the women who are in charge of preparing the refreshments for the congregation after Divine Liturgy every Sunday, and the breakfast for the memorial service of our beloved deceased, and the preparation of the D’okhrana of the feast of our Lady on August 15, and the memorial of patrons of St Paul Church, all that with the help of the Social Activity Group of the church. We also invite all women of St. Paul Church to join their sisters in the Sacred Heart Group.

God bless all the members of St. Paul Church and bless all the souls of those members who are no longer with us and who are waiting in hope of resurrection.

The Community of St. Paul also congratulates all its members for their charity, dedication, and solidarity and appreciates their hard work.
