The Twenty-Fifth Annual Chaldean High School &

College Scholarship and Awards Commencement

2007 will be the twenty-fifth annual celebration of the Chaldean Federation of America’s High School and College commencement ceremony.  The event celebrates scholastic achievement by our Chaldean community’s High School and College graduates and rewards Academic scholarships to our finest graduates.  There are four separate scholarships/rewards,

·        Academic Scholarships

Rewarded to well-rounded students with the highest academics.  65pts GPA, 25pts ACT/SAT, 10pts for extra-curricular activities.

·        Newcomers Academic Scholarships

Similar to the Academic Scholarships but limited to new students having lived in the US less than 5 years.

·        Essay Awards

This is an essay contest – See application for this year’s subjects

·        CASA scholarships

Awarded by the Chaldean American Student Association for selected students choosing to attend CASA’s corresponding chapter college

The scholarships and are limited to those who are of Chaldean heritage and are graduating from High School or College in the 2006/2007 academic year.  Everyone is invited to attend the Twenty-Fifth Chaldean High School and College Commencement Ceremony on Thursday June 14^th 2007 at the Millennium Center in Southfield.  Applications for scholarships/awards are due May 11^th.  Those wishing to attend the commencement without applying for a scholarship have until May 25^th, 2007 to submit their application & photo.

Each Chaldean graduating student will receive a free copy of the program book which is filled with student photos and educational material.  To place your photo in the book, it must be mailed to the CFA, along with an application, by May 25^th, 2007.
