Supporting Our Brethren

            A rally in support of Iraqi Christians took place on Saturday, June 30, 2007 beginning at 5 PM at the Southfield Civic Center in Michigan. Nearly 1,000 people gathered holding signs drawing attention to the persecution of the Christians of Iraq. There were several speeches from Fr. Emmanuel Boji of the Chaldean clergy of the Diocese of St. Thomas, members of the Chaldean Federation, the Chaldean Chamber of Commerce and other organizations, and a Muslim Imam, who spoke of the tears of the Virgin Mary, who cries for her children in Iraq.
