CMSS is a non-profit social service
agency serving the Chaldean and Middle Eastern
population in San Diego.
CMSS is a county approved agency.
Future social service programs will be announced
shortly with a local office site. CMSS programs will
range from Immigration to Behavioral Health.
CMSS Refugee & Immigration Office
Announces as of June 2007 to August 2007 the arrival
of 250 Chaldean Refugees from Turkey and Syria.
Other refugees from Jordan and Lebanon will begin to
receive Visas as of September and October of 2007.
It is estimated by the end of this year over 2000
Chaldean refugees will arrive to California.
CMSS will be holding a community
forum hosting all of the resettlement agencies who
will resettle our Chaldean refugees in San Diego
along with all the Free Legal Aid Societies. The
purpose of this forum is to educate families of
refugees on the resettlement process and government
benefits. The Free Legal Aid Societies will inform
the community of the free legal work available to
the refugees without consuming legal debts. Date and
time will be announced in the near future.
