Yesterday afternoon in Mosul another booby-trapped car exploded in front of a Church.

It is the Chaldean Church of the Immaculate in Al-Shifa area in the eastern part of the city. Police, called for the presence of a suspicious car evacuated and encircled the area but security personnel was not able to prevent the explosion that damaged the external wall and some doors and windows. Only two persons lightly injured are reported by now.
The Chaldean Church of the Immaculate had already been attacked on December 7 2004 when, according to Father Ragheed Ghanni (killed with three subdiacons on June 3 2007) gunmen rushed into the contiguous episcopal palace, forced people out and placed the bombs that partially destroyed it
