Declaration of the Youth Core

January 25th, 2008

We, the members and the Core Groups of Saint Stephen Assyrian Youth Ministry, of San Jose and Modesto-Turlock, fully support His Grace Mar Bawai Soro and his clergy in this movement of full communion with the Roman Catholic Church and unity with the Chaldean Catholic Church of the East. Having been informed of their signing of a “Declaration of Intent” on January 17, 2008, we in turn wish to endorse and support our clergy’s diligent efforts and honest intentions to obey our Lord’s command and prayer that His Church be one.  We pray and have faith that this their intention will be rewarded by our Heavenly Father.  “That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”  (John 17:21)
