St Joseph Chaldean Mission in North San Diego

prepares to celebrate Easter Day with the Bishop

 

As soon as the faithful at St. Joseph Chaldean Mission learned that His Excellency Bishop Sarhad Yawsip Jammo will celebrate Easter Mass with them, they started preparing for this joyful day.

A small Choir group was formed quickly with the efforts of Mona Soro, as they are practicing daily in order to present something nice for their Bishop.

The Deacons, led by Shamasha Waad Ballo, Samir Gorou, Thair Tomika, Shamasha Talal, and Adwar, started practicing for the Easter hymns and to do the play of “Gayyasa”.

Also, the young children were very excited to learn how to serve as altar boys and girls, give “peace”, ring the bells and walk in the Procession of the Cross.
