Being an
art major, a lot of things inspire me and there are a
lot of people that I look up to. Whether they are
fictional characters from my favorite television shows,
books, or from the people in my daily life; but my
biggest role model as cliché as it may sound is my mom.
My mom is my rock, my biggest supporter, and my best
friend. She has been there for me when I had needed her
the most and at the same time when I’m at my best such
as volunteering at the church since I was 14, helping
her around the house, and trying to earn good grades
that way I can earn my degree in Interior Design.
My mom has
been to museum after museum with me and knows how much
this degree means to me. It’s through my art and my
favorite books that my mom
understands me on a level that no one else ever could.
She didn’t have to go to three museums with me last
semester and listen to my art history talk. Instead what
made the whole time experience worthwhile was that we
were together, sharing quality time with one another.
Mom, I
enjoy the conversations that we share together, you
offer me the best advice that anyone could ever give me.
According to William Shakespeare “There are more things
in heaven than on Earth.” Obviously Shakespeare had
never met you mom. I know I don’t say this enough
anymore Mom, but I love you and everyday, I thank God
that you’re in my life.
