The
Diocesan Committee declares it has fulfilled its goal as
needed in helping the refugee families. The Diocesan Refugee
Committee has supported the newcomer refugees since 2008,
and spent about half a million dollars in the past four
years. All this money was collected from the faithful’s
donations. Thus, the committee decided from now forward to
use the money to help the children and the youth of refugee
families in catechism schools, youth activities, and to
educate them religiously and socially. Therefore, the
collection of donations will continue outside the church for
this purpose.
-
