Notes for Fourth Sunday of the Resurrection

 

Let us pray and plead to God the Lord for all the children of the church especially the displaced and oppressed and especially the Christians of Nineveh, the Sick and the Neediest. For Peace throughout the world, the Perpetual Intentions of our beloved deceased and the intentions of this Sunday:

This week’s funerals

  • Rosa Naoom Razook died in San Diego. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at St. Peter Cathedral at 10:00am.
     
  • Madlen Elias Sawa died in Zakho. Her family and daughter Allen Zeeza are accepting condolences this Sunday at Ishtar’s Hall from 4:00- 7:00 pm.
     
  • Nahidh Yousif Asmaro died in Michigan. His family and aunt Kameela Razoky are accepting condolences this Monday at Mollison Hall from 3:00- 6:00 pm.

Sunday Notes

  1. This Tuesday is the Feast of St. George. The Chaldean Mass at 10:00am will be at its normal time. We will have a mass to celebrate the Feast at 6:00pm in Chaldean, Arabic and English, followed by a procession inside the church.
     
  2. We encourage all Chaldean in San Diego to vote in the upcoming Iraqi Parliament elections and to vote for those who you believe will help the Christians of the region. There is a flyer outside of the Church with all the details.
     
  3. St. John Church will add Arabic Mass on Sundays beginning May 6th, the first Sunday of May. So Mass schedule starting that Sunday will be: 9:00am in Chaldean, 11:00am in Arabic and 7:00pm in English. Also at St. John, we will start Daily Masses on Monday, April 30th at 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
     
  4. The Annual Knights of Columbus Graduation Party for High School and College and University graduates will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at St. Peter’s Hall at 7:00 pm. Scholarships will be awarded to the graduates. For more information please visit: martomacouncil.org

    1. Sandro Isaac and Hiba Somo at 5:45pm
    2. Meelad Muneer and Mariam Behnam at 6:30pm
