نزهة كاتدرائية مار بطرس بمناسبة عيد الشكر
في يوم عيد الشكر الامريكي انطلق
شباب كاتدرائية مار بطرس الكلدانية في سان دييكو الى متنزه جميل بالقرب
من المحيط الهادي بقيادة الاب "ميخائيل بزي" وبرفقة الاب "فيليكس
الشابي" حيث قضوا اوقاتا طيبة في لعبة كرة الطائرة، وكرة القدم
الامريكية، صبيانا وبناتا. على ان قسما من الاولاد سبقوا الجمع حيث
بلغوا المكان قبل الجميع منذ التاسعة صباحا في حين انظم القسم الاكبر
بعد ساعة من ذلك تقريبا. كما وانظمت الى الجمع الزميلة الاخت العزيزة
"نوال الكاتب" مع بناتها الاربع.
استمر الشباب باللعب الى منتصف
النهار حيث وصلت السيدة "جاكي دللو" جالبة معها المؤونة والزاد لاطعام
حشد الشباب متبرعة ب ( 4 ديك رومي كبير) مع سائر لوازم الغداء، مشكورة.
صلى الاب ميخائيل بزي قبل الاكل وطلب من اللـه في هذا اليوم ان لا يبقى
من جوعان او من انسان وحيد. ثم طب اذا ما كان هناك من يرغب في الصلاة،
فاظافت الطفلة "رينيه الكاتب" من انها مسرورة في هذا اليوم بحضور
الجميع على الرغم من انها ليست مسرورة من اكل التركي (الديك الرومي)
بعد الاكل عاد الجميع الى اللعب
والتمشي ولكون يوم عيد الشكر هو اليوم الوحيد تقريبا في امريكا الذي
يجمتع فيه اعضاء العائلة مع بعض، قام البعض من الشباب بالانسحاب
للانضمام الى اهاليهم في حوالي 1:30 ظهرا، في حين انسحب الباقون بعد
ساعة واحدة فقط. وهذه صور للنزهة:
St.
Peter Cathedral's picnic on Thanksgiving
On
Thanksgiving Day St. Peter’s Chaldean Catholic Cathedral made a
picnic to Dana Landing area in San Diego. Fr. Michael Bazzi was on
the head of the youth group combined from the bible study students
and other youth whom they attend some church activities such as the
“breath of life youth group”. Fr. Felix attended the picnic and some
families also.
Some
youth started playing volleyball and football since 9:00 a.m. while
the rest of them begin to arrive after 9:30 a.m.
Our
beloved colleague Nawal Alkatib showed up in the picnic with her 4
daughters, while Mss. Jackie Dallo came in to support us and made us
survive the rest of the day by donating 4 worm, well cocked, and big
turkeys for the whole group. We were starving and ready to start our
launch. At 12:00 p.m. father Michael collected the youth, he prayed
for the hungry and the lonely that they may find in this day comfort
and food.
Asking somebody to add to his prayer, Renee AlKatib (9 years old
girl) replied that she was happy to celebrate the thanksgiving with
the entire group although she does not like the turkey!!
After lunch it was time again to play more volleyball, but since it
was a family gathering day some of the attendance preferred to
retire and join their families about 1:30 p.m. the rest of them
followed up after one hour only about 2:00- 2:30 p.m.! Here are
