Fr.
Paul Iskandar, a Syriac Orthodox
priest (picture above), was
kidnapped on October 10 in Mosul, in
North Iraq. The police found him the
next day “beheaded”
Father Iskandar was known to be a
very kind and loving priest to all
people, Christians, Moslems and
people of all faiths. He spent his
days in prayer for peace in Iraq.
Fr. Paul was in his 60’s!
May
the Lord have mercy on all the
people of Iraq, especially the
defenseless Christian population.
Father Paul used to always say “I
don’t know what awaits me today but
at the end I know that I will be in
the Father’s hands”
Father Paul is a martyr and we
implore his intercession for the
release of all the kidnapped and for
a lasting peace in Iraq.
Last
week a 32 year old Chaldean mother
of four children, her first name is
Baida, was kidnapped from the front
gate of her house last week in
Baghdad and is still missing.
Urgent prayers are needed for the
release of Baida so she can return
to her husband and four children. I
have been asked by her sister’s
family who lives in San Diego to
please pray for her.
